My name is Brandy Elsey, and I'd like to start by sharing a little bit about my music, my family, fun facts about myself and what I hope to share in my "Notes."

MUSIC

I am a first and foremost a Child of God; I'm a worship leader, contemporary christian artist, and songwriter. I grew up around music my whole life and have gleaned inspiration from a variety of artists and genres that have positively impacted my style and manner of writing. From artists like Tye Tribbet, Israel Houghton, and Fred Hammond to Hillsong, Elevation, Planetshakers and everyone in between, I have a deep appreciation for all of the styles of Gospel and Contemporary Christian artists alike. There are so many artists, some well known and others less known, that have inspired me and continue to do so.

FAMILY

I am a proud wife of my amazing husband, Toby. (He is my biggest supporter and fellow dreamer). Together, we have two amazing toddlers. Being their mom has taught me so much and has challenged me to grow deeper in my convictions and has truly tested the fruit of the spirit in my life - for this I am very grateful. My family is my greatest gift, and I thank God everyday for blessing me with them.

FUN FACTS

Some fun facts about me... I have lived in Northeast OH my entire life, and being from Youngstown specifically, I have a deep love for italian food (they have the best italian cuisine)! I am convinced that I could live on it exclusively. Overall, I would say that I am a foodie, conesiur of good food, and always game to try something new. I am also into growing my own food and sourcing food locally - I'd like to think of myself as an up-and-coming homesteader. Outside of music, this is one of my main passions.

NOTES

Last but definitely not least, Jesus Christ is truly the center of everything in my life. My goal is to share his goodness with everyone that I can. Through this blog, I'm going to share things that God has given me, whether through personal testimonies, little revelations from his word, or my own experiences in music ministry. It is my hope that these "notes" will encourage readers, build their faith and empower them in their God-given ministry.

I'm excited to be on this journey, and I hope you can come along for the ride! We are going to see God continue to do amazing things, and I can't wait to share God-thoughts, faith-builders, and all things music with you.
